    If anyone is actually interested in preserving a banana you can get a similar item to the ones posted but with small holes in. These are better as they let the gases given off by the banana escape. It is these gases which turn the banana brown quickly when in a sealed environment (e.g. a lunch box) and can be useful to ripen other fruits.
