Normal electricity bill

hi. i moved flats a couple of months ago and just receieved the final electricity bill of the previous flat. the amount is £1780.13 for january to march. i asked scottish power if this amount is usual but they didnt give an answer. in fact they were very rude. fucking scot.

so is the bill normal for one person?

    Not unless you're running industrial appliances in your flat. That's outrageously large for just electric.

    I live in a small 2 bedroom house with my boyfriend, and we got our electricity bill for the quater yeserday, and it came to £95...so £1780 is a bit steep. Did scottish power come and read your meter or is it an estimated reading?

    We recently got our electric bill for SEVEN months and it was £140.

    So yes thats not right at all.
