Why can't you wear jeans? If it gets hot, wear a more suited top and sandals. I wear jeans 98% of the time. Never gets bad, even when its 90 degrees out. Get some jeans that are thin. Like some jeans are thicker and stuff... if you get what I"m saying.

What did you wear last year?

I wore skirts which I absolutely hated.. and sometimes shorts.. but I usually wear jeans but get too hot. I like the look of those surfer shorts but no idea where to get them.

    *retard question*

How short are these cropped pants and what kinds of shoes do you wear with them? (Like can you wear shoes and socks?) Or would that give off that sexy I wanna be the tourist w/ my sexy black socks and sandals look.

Last year I wore surf shorts and they were really comfy. I wore them with birkenstocks, black flip flops and skate shoes with trainer socks (not ankle socks!) I bought my surf shorts from Free Spirit - a shop that stocks Billabong, Roxy, Quicksilver etc.

If you want surf/skate shorts, look out for the names mentioned above (Quicksilver/Roxy have their own store, as well as Billabong) or check out your nearest TK Maxx - they stock a lot of surf shorts this time of year.

My cropped jeans are mid-calf and I usually wear them with white Birkenstock style sandals, trainers (no socks) and flip flops

    shorts and tshirts!
You can get shorts all over, free spirit, topshop, any shop really will have shorts of varying lengths and styles.
Try Joe browns maybe, I like their catalogue although not bought from there yet.

I'm liking these. So much better than the shorty short skin tight shorts where you can see their ass without them even bending over. :yuck:

Thanks for making this thread _tink ;)

Board shorts are fab. I wear them for canoeing and just for wearing. Try M and M Direct .

Fat Face crops are also excellent.

shorts and t-shirts are indeed the way forward :thumb:

if you can't be parted from your jeans, roll them up a few inches and wear them with flip flops and a sleeveless top. the cooling breeze to your armpits and feet makes all the difference on the temperature stakes.

If you like dressing a bite boyish, wear what I wear every summer...

It's comfy, yet sexy, easy to wear and eye contacts are guarantee!!

    Hey chick! I'm the same!

But I've managed to find myself some baggy knee-length shorts, in black and in denim. Check out Flip, cause they have prices from £17-£37. And their stuff is awesome.

But it's worth checking out TopShop too. They do nice shorts and boy jeans and stuff.

I want the green trainers, too!

Last summer I just cut off loads of pairs of jeans and baggy cords at different lengths (from cropped trouser-length to knee-length, not much shorter really) and they served me well. Must dig out the binbag I stashed them in, I think they could come in handy right about now...

buy some camo-pants, then cut them off to make shorts.
