no, I don't like football, I don't follow any sports, and I hate noisy yobish violent stupid football culture for all it's worth too. (not that that applies to all fans of said sport of course, I just dislike the bad ones)

edit, now my pink writing doesn't work :(

    large out of context writing!11

What a charmer! The thing is it's quite an interesting topic - and that first rant from amusingly named old poster 'fuckwit' is hilarious!

I think I might split the thread - football - anyone else hate watching it?

Hate watching it on TV, don't mind watching my sister's matches but that's probably just because it's my sister.

Edit - not that my sister plays in matches that are on the TV, Woodford Halse U16 girls team is not going to make it onto TV ...

i prefer it on the tv, only usually championships like champions league, euro 2000,2004 etc, and world cups

due to the usually higher standard of football, and more skill and cunning

playing aint all that bad either

I like watching the euro or wc, but can't stand the rest.

the world cup is probably the greatest event that ever happens, i'll watch as many games as i possibly can, cant wait for the domestic season to start again, its a social event, not just a sport.

It's a way of life bordering on religion for some.

I love it. Watching & playing. It's the sport of kings.

What's so special about ballet? People are interested in different things.

I love watching it and playing it, went off it for a while but started getting really interested in it again.

I avoid it like the plague (like most sports, although car racing is alright).

I've never really been interested in it at all... But after watching the England game with the boyfriend... I can now kinda explain what a sub is :) Don't mind watching it, but prefer watching it being played not on a tv set.

Wank and footballing performances can be easily be interlinked for most teams. Not Watford though

To be honest i don't think you have to follow football, or even sport to understand the concept for subsitution.

I change my socks everyday, its kind of the same thing

Yeah, I know what you're saying, but it kinda helped me to understand as an example of it, type-thing :)

love playing it and as a result enjoy watching it cos you can appreciate the skill involved, on the telly or whatever.......i do think it's quite sad to have such a strong alleigance to one club though and get all emotional over a game, i guess that makes me sad.....
