    I think some of you are misreading my post. My mother only occasionally washed my hair whilst I was in the bath, it was infrequent but nice. She liked doing it and I liked her doing it, it was keeping the strong bond between mother & son. There was nothing pervy about it in terms of it not in any way being sexual as some of you seem to imply.

    tbh, you made a big deal of it by posting. I dont think your mum occasionally washing your hair for you in the bath is that weird.
    I personally had left home by that age, but im sure i remember times in my teens where my mum would come in the bathroom to use the loo while I was in the bath. No big deal.
    She didnt wash me though, but its hardly a huge step away.

    Let me explain. According to everyone else I've spoken to most did not have mothers washing them or their hair at seventeen, thats all, thats why I said I thought it was a bit weird. I never said it was of a sexual nature.

    My mum's done my hair over the bath sometimes.

    But she's never been in the bathroom when I have been in the bath properly for, I'd guess about 10 years now.

    Always, always lock the bathroom after me.

    But I dont have an intimacy issue with the bathroom, to be fair. I've phoned people whilst I'm on the toilet or in the bath. Sometimes I have baths and my girlfriend talks to me whilst sitting on the toilet seat (not going loo, just sitting on the lid). All casual.

    Dont think I'd be comfortable with my mum doing it now though, not sure I'd be comfortable being naked in the same room as her.

    In fairness I was in the bath covered in soap suds, there was nothing on view, well apart from my toy sub so it wasn't as if it had a sexual content.
    Whether its your mum or anybody else, there is something good about having your hair washed by someone else.

    Many adults with disabilities would be bathed by their mothers throughout their adult lives. I don't think that is weird. As for everybody else I guess it depends on the situation.

    Thanks Randomgirl. I should mention that whilst I still live at home my mother doesn't wash my hair now, that stopped some years ago when my arms got better.

    I still live at home, my dad died when I was just a baby, so its just me & mum. I've got a muscle wasting disease that affects my arms, I couldn't lift them above waist level, I can know just about reach my head but its a struggle.

    The point is she won't find the doll, I've sent it off to Dr Jackson as a swop for one of his refurbished ones. I kept it under the bed in a box with a lock & key.
