Here are some photos from the prom last night. I do have better ones, just not on my camera!

Me and my best friend Clare

It was a very good night and could definately get used to the food, and the dressing up! I took the tiara out before I went to bed and my hair is still up like that, so I'm wondering how long it will stay before I can't avoid taking it down - it hurts to take the pins out! :chin:

Thanks for the style advice those who gave it, I don't think I look too bad ;)

You look truly gorgeous  I miss my prom now!

Glad you had a good time - what food was it? :yum:

P.S Your hair, if anything like mine, will stay in infinetly (sp?) - I left mine in for 3 days afterward before I got fed up, it would have lasted longer. I counted 59 hair grips when I took it out.

 My mum made it, but I stuck the jewels on! ;)

Food was "trio of melon with passionfruit sauce", posh chicken and new potatos, then this thing called Bertie's Bomb, which was merangue (sp) in ice cream with toffee sauce. Was a bit worried as I'm a fussy eater and couldn't understand most of the words on the menu, but turned out fine.

As for my hair, I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, but it's not mine so I think I'd best take it down! :p When I had the practise run there were 22 pins in it. I'm not sure how many she used this time. :chin:

We call it a prom in Stafford... every school around Stafford does AFAIK

ETA: That food sounds so nice... god I hate being on a diet. And your mum (and you obviously, with your jewels) are very talented!

You looked lovely, and the food sounds gorgeous..
My leavers prom is at the end of next month, but its gonna be tripe. The choice of food was either meat or veggie lasange, with choc mousse or fruit pavlova after. And they're making us pay £12 a ticket, even though its actually happening in the school dining hall . Every other school in the area goes to a posh hotel for theirs.

Luckily my mates organising a gigantic after-ball party in one of her barns, and everyone in the year is going, £3 a ticket. Should be fantastic.

I liked trying it on but thats about it.

I haven't even worn it properly though. I have a dress, a lovely new pair of shoes and a new handbag and even have train tickets to get to that ball but I'm not going now. £200 down that I could really do with right now. I'm proper skint.

Ah well, theres always next years ball. I just hope I don't get fat so I don't have to diet to get into it!
