The old one was the Vanquish, it was slower and the gear shifting was dodgy.

The Vantage sits lower, it's got more power , handles better and the gears are smooth.
    Plus it's gorgeous.

    hehe
Through a friend of a friend we went to Silverstone last year and drove the Vanquish and the 360 F1 round the track...
The 360's F1 style shifting was very good, but the Aston's was terrible!!

Haven't driven the Vantage, unfortunately :p, but i watched the test drive on top gear and fifth gear...
Would love to have a go!!

Not sure what you are talking about, the 360 F1 came out about 3 years ago, bro.
The original Vanquish came out about the same time if not before with the new Vanquish S coming out last year with 60 more bhp...

Last year Top Gear tested the 430 with F1 style gear shifts... ;)

PS To update my post after you edited, yeah I did first see the 360F1 and the Vanquish on Top Gear....:) I don't know how my friend got us the drives, i think he mentioned something about P1 International (Damon Hill's company)...

When we build a nice car it looks good and can turn corners too. I can't think of mmany cars from across the pond that can fulfil both (or even one) of those objectives.

Oh yeah, and it's terrible for the environment too!!!!

Actually, the reason why so many US cars can't handle corners that well is because in the States they do not need to. The roads are big and long and straight with plenty of run off areas. Even the towns are in block arrangement...

The US cars are also built to last a long time!!
Which is not something you can say for British cars.

Aston martin, however beautiful it is, is also notorious for it's unreliability.
Jaguars are the only reliable British cars, and they are owned by Ford.

And how can you say that all US cars look ugly.
US cars moto is comfort and reliability!!
Plus, look at cars like the Acura coming out and things, look at the new Corvette, yummy!

Mind you, the best selling car in the US right now is the Honda Civic, go figure!!

I'm subscribed to the Forbes.com website and they had an article about that the other day....
I am sure it was the Honda though... (maybe it was the highest selling low entry car, $11k or something...)
I agree, the Camry has been a popular car there for a long time...
In fact, accroding to Forbes, the top ten reliable cars in the world are all Japanese....
    ;)

 I've been driving the accord now for a while, borrowing the boyfriends old car cuz I do not like my car, its 5 years old with over 130k on it, and minus the transmission problem he had when he first bought it, which apperantly was a common problem with that year, theres not been one thing wrong with it yet. Its a damn fine car. the japanese car makers.
