Don't worry about that fool Beth-he's probably a middle aged old perv himself, why else is he so bitter? As for how to get a b/f..unfortunately there is no set method. Do lots of stuff outside of school that you enjoy so you meet lots of people. Go to lots of parties, be friendly and chat to people.
When you say you want a b/f, what kind-serious, or just messing about? Not many 15 year old boys want serious relationships.
Just make sure you have fun, whatever you do. Having a b/f doesn't solve all your problems, you need to be happy in yourself.
    Good luck.
    P.S. I am 19 and didn't get a decent, *proper* b/f till I was 17.

i agree, most (but not all) girls are attracted to men who are stereotypical macho cockheads initially, or the captain of the football team, or the man who is the best at telling jokes, or the man who is the best looking blah blah.

But when they realise Mr perfect is not so perfect after all, they are to frightened of losing him, as being single fills them with dread.

Enjoy being single while it lasts.

I didn't mean to upset anyone, I was just giving my point of view. As for the 40 yr old guy, I do think it's a bit strange that you want to give advice to 14 or 15 yr olds. Is there not a chat room slightly more suited to your age range? Your insecurity 'Should I stay or should I go...' proves that just being on this site is giving you some kind of kick. I find that a bit unerving.
And Beth, unfortunatly there is no easy answer to what is not an easy question. At the tender age of 15, why are you worryin man? As some1 else said 15 yr old boys aren't really into the whole relationship thing, when I was 15 most girls my age went out with older boys? Maybe thats the key? Don't think I'm a bitter old 40something, 'cos I ain't - 'a good politician always listens to both sides of the story.'

hEY PEOPLE!! How about this - When you're 40 you're banned from talking to anyone under the age of 20, and you can't give any advice to those people either cos you're fat too old...............yes is rediculous isn't it!
40 is not old, 40 does not mean you'te a perv, the sooner you all get past 30 the better - then you'll realise that development doesn't stop after a certain age, ideas and opinions don't stop after a certain age. what you all going to do on your 40th birthdays give up and become boring sods ...didn't think so - so give the 'oldies' a break. Just cos you don't know how to get on with your parents doesn't mean you can't get on with other olde people. SORRY FOR THE RANT BUT I'M ANGRY!!

Rah, Rah, Rah. Heard it all before mate. I don't care how old, fat, ugly you are. I have no problem whatsoever with you being your age, just that you're loitering around young people's chat rooms. It ain't right. I hate to admit I'm a synic but with everything I've heard on the news, I find it very hard to swallow that you just want to 'make friends' with young people by being here. I hope I'm wrong, you are probably a sound bloke, but I, for one, would like to think that when I hit 40, I won't be hanging around in young peoples chat rooms. I'm sorry if that upsets you. Case Closed.

    Large amounts of agreement there.
Both my parents, who always seem to give the best advice (esp with hindsight) are over 40. And my mates come to then to talk about their problems as they don't feel able to communicate with their own parents, so don't tell me there isn't a need.
As to the boyf thyng. I'm a cynical nasty cow at the moment, but my experience of these matters goes something along the lines of... people turn up all the time, you just have to be in the right frame of mind to recognise the signals and accept them, if you want. Badaboom.

Leave Byny alone, he has been here for a long time, and has always given consistently good advice. He has NEVER once tried anything on with a younger girl, or hinted at meeting anyone here to my knowledge. so cut the shit, he knows a lot more about life than we do.

    Just for the record Link:

I am in my thirties and my profile states it.

I have been thru' divorce, thru bankruptcy, have lived abroad for some years. I have a daughter and a stepson (mid teens) who are going thru many of the situations I see others on this site going thru. I am now very happily married.

I am lucky enough that my kids value the advice I give from time to time when asked and they value that I never pre-judge them.

I am also old enough to realise that 95% of people never take advice and insist on learning form their own mistakes anyway.

This medium allows advice to be heeded or ignored by posters as they see fit.

Any advice or comment given should be treated by the reader on it's merit irrespective of the age, sex, bias or whatever of the poster.

I have read mature and immature posts of young and older alike and when I need it I am happy to hear sensible advice from whoever feels they have something to offer.

Please read the thread 'I want 2 b a dad' in this forum and tell me that my comment would not have been relevent as a father.

I am sure there are as many perverts aged 21 as there are perverts aged 41. Just as there are as many bigots and despots of all ages. Do you think that it is a disease that strikes at a certain age? I think not.

Perhaps you will, with age, learn to judge people on merit rather than pre-judge them on soundbites alone.

But to go back to the topic...

I'd agree with people who said "stop trying", but I'd rephrase it as "don't try too hard". As others have said, very few 15-year-old fellas think with much other than their balls, but those who do, and who are nice guys, are easy to hook if you just talk to them normally. I know fellas are sometimes lousy at judging other fellas, but I think that the best guys are the ones who have no ego to play up to. Just be yourself; I'm sure you're worth it. <IMG alt="image" SRC="smile.gif" border="0">

    HELLO

    Just to clear it up

    I'm female
    I'm 31 - is that old
    I'm not a perv
I just want to stand up for the rights of old people to be viewed as NORMAL people.
    Thanks for the support guys!

Perverts can be 16 or 80 but that doesn't mean all perverts are 16 or 80.

Hey look, I was really just looking for a response. At least now, you have had the chance to air an answer to a question that a lot of people might have been wondering.
I'm not ageist, honest. It was your reply that spurned my last, sometimes an argument is too hard to resist...
I don't want a personal confrontation, I wanted to make a point. Although it seems to have been lost in amongst shrouds of retaliation. It's good to know that there are people on this site with not only maturity, but also good advice. But you know anyone can *click *click *click type away - I am a 21 yr old student from the UK - do you believe me? I could be a 26 yr old housewife from Canada, or a 45 man from Pakistan, or a 17 yr old girl from Australia. Do you see my point? From your responses I can tell that you are probably who you say you are. But you never can be sure. I am a 21 yr old student from the UK, i've travelled round the world, i've been thru a lot for someone my age, and without sounding prejudice in any way, I just think you have got to be careful who you trust. Particularly when all you know them by is a certain pseudonym, and a few words.

    You are quite right Link.

However, those that seek to deceive are more likely to pose as teen/20 somethings when they are really older.

As my profile states that I am in my 30's I am unlikely to be posing as somone that I am not...
