What's the oldest thing you own?

for me it's probably two really lovely old children's encyclopedias from the 1930's

I don't own much but I've this box of old love letters and cards and loads of sentimental stuff from over the years.

I'm looking through it justnow and I'm really considering chucking half of it, but it could be worth a shitload if/when I'm catapulted into stardom.

Probably a foldable magnifying lens I inherited from my grandpa. There might be something older than that though, I'm not sure.

just spotted this in your sig ...

'Sometimes we try so hard to find happiness, that we forget to be happy'....

thought i would just point out that though there is truth in what it says ...theres an even greater truth in ...

'many people fail to find happiness because they are to busy having fun'.

Other than a 17th century desk (which may have belonged to James Boswell) in my parents' house, a Bible given to a soldier in 1916.

Tbh, I can't think of any thing I own that is older than myself. So possibly my birth certificate or my pink teddy given to me when I was born by my sister.

I don't own old stuff. It smells funny and i don't like touching stuff like that.

My oldest thing probably comes from like 1999. Even then thats quite far back for me.

My family have got quite a few antiques (although unfortunately we lost a lot in several burgularies). I'm not sure what the oldest thing we have is - probably got quite a few things from 1800's but the oldest thing that we still use quite a lot is one of my Dad's cars which was built in 1938!
