    Interesting.

btw - there's a double paragraph thing in the part about 'the future'.

That was a good read, thanks to whoever compiled it. :thumb:

I found this point quite interesting:
50% who have tried drugs were worried about addiction, while a much bigger proportion (89%) of those who haven't tried them were concerned about getting hooked.
Is that because the drug-takers are more knowledgable and less susceptible to scare-mongering? Or because they are in denial and don't want to admit the possibility of becoming addicted? Or is it just that they take drugs that are not, or they consider not to be, addictive? :chin:

There were over 300 people, so 1% is at least 3 people spending over £500 a week!

Unlikely they'll own up, cus they'll have the police thinking they're invariably a dealer.

in the early eighties i was going througyh a thousand quid plus a week ...to feed my heroin habit but also for other opiates and amphetamine and weed.
outragous ammount of money but it didn't realy cost me in cash.

"Nearly two thirds of the respondents were women"

I find that a bit odd, does that fairly represent drug users?

    I noticed that as well.

I think females are in general more prepared to sit and do those surveys than males which is why they'll often respond in greater numbers. They have more patience.

From my non-drug using friend group the males are more likely to be tolerant of drug use than females. That's only in my experience though.

i think there should have been more input taken from males !

When it's a voluntary survey though, only the people who decide to do it are used.

You could always exclude some female answers to even out the gender percentiles but how do you decide which to leave out? And it's not really fair asking someone to do a survey and then not using their results! :p
