Due to the overwhelming response to our 'Celebrating creativity exhibition competition' :grump: we have a new idea to get you guys involved.

Just to remind you, the 'Celebrating creativity' exhibition is being hosted by Vodafone in aid of YouthNet on 22nd May and it wouldn't be a truly YouthNet dedicated event without a contribution from our community.

What we're after is 'a photo that describes you' - so a digital photo which you think conveys your character without actually showing your face. Please post your entries in this thread.

We will pick five winning entries which will be blown up, printed and displayed at the exhibition and the artists will win a Sony Ericsson V600i pay-as-you-go phone. Closing date for entries is May 17th - good luck :thumb:

    Can it be of a anything, as long as you've taken it and it represents you?

    Heather = Co-op

    Soooo this is a picture I took last summer from the bridge overlooking the canoe club,

    Photos only or is photo editing eg photoshopping allowed?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
    Can it be staged? Like a random thing/things set up so it looks good or does it have to be natural?

    if editing is allowed it is in no longer a photo then... it is an art work... which aint really "a photo to describe you" imo... not moaning btw... just saying ;)

    It's fine to create a piece of art, whether semantically it's still a photo or not

    Why do people keep setting fun challenges when I have exams? :(

    I'll arm myself with my trusty camera when I go digging next month. Prepare for pictures of trowels, wellies and mud...

    Hmmm, this isn't brilliant... but its one I thought represented me in a way.

    Small disclaimer mind you: me and the girlfriend were swapping the camera at the time, so there's a chance it may have been taken by her :chin: but I think that one was me. If it becomes famous, put both our names on it :razz:

    Taken on a fujifilm f440 camera

    Can it be a picture I've taken that has the back of someone else's head from a distance in it?

    Or does it have to be "me" or something representing me as taken by me? That's a bit demanding for my crap camera skills. :p

    It shouldn't be you - but as you say something representing you - sometimes it's what's in the picture that's more interesting than the camera angle - you seem like a creative, inspired kinda person so I'm sure you can come up with something :)
