  Maybe they just couldn't get it organised in time... these things can't jus happen. The war only started a few weeks ago. Putting it at a slightly later date means more people are going to be able to attend, and that it can be better planned.

  As for anti - Osama bin Laden marches, I think Osama bin Laden should be put on trial not just for the crimes he did recently in the past few years but for the crimes he did when he was backed by the CIA from 1979 onwards when his terrorist group commitied terrrorist acts against the Afghan people as well as against the Soviets when he had the full backing of the CIA and the American government when incidently America turned a blind eye to the drug trafficking they did when they smugged heroin into the west! It was America that funded the Mujihadeen with billions of dollars during the war against the soviets in the first place and created the terrorist threat from bin Laden!
  

  We already have a global police force..the USA. They have been present in almost every dispute in the past 100 years..They dont do this for gain, no matter what some say. They do it because they are fundamentally 'the good guys'.

  
  Is that why they trained and funded death squads in central America in El Salvador, funded the contra guerrillas who murdered thousands of government supporters in Nicaragua, arm Israel to the teeth so that it can occupy Palestinian land and massacre Palestinians like it did in 1982 when Israel invaded Lebanon and killed 2000 palestinian refugees in the refugee camps. And overthrew the democratically elected government in Chile in 1973 bringing to power Pinochet, as well as supporting every brutal dictatorship under the sun when it has suited them including Saddam Hussien during the Iran / Iraq war!

  Ironcurtain - I keep reminding you that many of us don't need the history lessons from you because we have an education. We all know how wonderful life has been under Socialist Govts in USSR, Most Eastern Bloc, Cuba etc (even though most have now rejected it...) except you deny that these were ever socialist states - purely because they failed. Afterall a true socialist state would never fail...

  ... Is utter BS. The posters for the tomorrow's protest were going up before the month of October even drew to a close. I know: I Mark-I-Eyeballed them myself. Don't tell me three weeks was doable but two wasn't.

  You're damn right we need a rational code of morality and ethics. But not much progress can be made in that direction while we've still got a majority ranting about gods, devils, souls, and absolute morality, and using an ancient book written by ignorant nomads as a guide.
