Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
my aunts got a 15 week old cocker spaniel pup which they've only had about a month, and on sunday she jumped off a 30ft bridge....she survived but was at the vets. :( Poor thing, she's such a cutie...we're about to phone and ask how she is. I'm kinda nervous :nervous:

Cats are worse... they try to jump from upstairs into the garden to supprise the birds. Daft things.

I had a kitten tht threw itself out of the upstairs bathroom window. It lived, but it was never the same again. Kind of bent, not in the gay sense.

I'd keep sharp knives and paracetamol locked away just until you're absolutely sure she isn't trying to reach the celestial canine choir. :p

..... How is the puppy??? (too much of a girlie girl, i cant stand animals getting hurt..)

Saying that. Dogs are stupid. Mine's been chasing flies all afternoon, and crashing into the fence as they fly into the next garden. Should of known he wasn't normal when we bought him, he only eats dog food if it's mixed with water and in a glass bowl.

So is it the food mixed with water that isn't normal - or the glass bowl?

Just out of interest... how did you find that out??

Did he not eat a thing, so you started trying different combinations until BINGO!! Water and a glass bowl! :p

We used to have to force him to eat his food, and we used to add warm water to warm it up a bit (he was only a puppy) and we thought it might help. Then one day, his bowl was still in the dishwasher, so we just put it in one of our glass bowls. Walloped it down  Won't eat it any other way now.

30ft - 9 metres ish. Wowza, lucky to be alive, really, if you think how high a puppy is, must have fell over 30 times its own height. Put that in human terms, and thats a loooooooong way to go. Of course, smaller things tend to fare better from falls, so maybe thats not fair :chin:

Is the puppy called lucky, by any chance?

The dog needs one of those kick ass doggy wheelchairs, like the lady that got murdered cuz she had a paraplagic dog, and a cone around the head.
