Our victory parade music

What sort of music do you think our armed forces should play through loud speakers and from high flying jets as they approach the Taliban posistions and cities???

I think they should play the Imperial Death March, just as wave after wave of tanks roll into Kabul.
Or alternatively the music from the helicopter scene in Apocalypse Now!
Wouldn't that music scare the shit out you?

Its a moot question. We arent going to go anywhere near Kabul with ground forces, let alone tanks.

You cant win a PC dictated war. We will be pulling out of Afghanistan within a couple of months with no damage to the taliban setup.

If we ever get round to committing ourselves to winning this war then I think 'Devilman' by White Zombie is a damn good track

I think it should be 'Always look on the bright side of life' from Monty Python - Life of Brian....

That would be Wagner - The Ride of the Valkaries.

is it just me being pedantic, or does it strike anyone else as slightly silly playing music from loudspeakers attachted to jets?

i think all those suggestions are great: pick one song for each of the major cities: Kabul, Kandahar, Jalalalalalalaalallalalalabaaaaaaaaaaaad and there's one more who's name i cannot remember for the life of me.

Wouldn't it be great for demoralising the enemy though, a huge column of tanks heading towards them playing the Imperial death march!!

what is your FETISH with this! it's almost unhealthy dammit!

but quite amusing, so hey, i aint complaining. and yes, it would be demoralising, but i think morale would be the last thing they were worrying about.

and good for the economy as well, having to produce all those speakers!

Porno music with HUGE projections of naked ladies on the tallest buildings may quite piss the taliban off, infact, why not include a copy of 'Razzle' in every aid package dropped :P.

Surely this would be the most demoralising anthem to be played as the tanks roll through the flaming ruins? Other suggestions include:
    "Firestarter" - The Prodigy
"We Are The Champions" - Queen
"Killing In The Name Of" - Rage Against The Machine

Don't think they'd go for the RATM song. I believe all of their songs were banned from radioplay in america after the 11th. And why play a song by a band who are anti-war, anti-america (well, against what america stands for) on a battle field from the american side?

I still think "always look on the bright side of life" is best.....
Seriously... I think the lyrics to Warfair, by clawfinger are very fitting at times like these....

'Enter Sandman' by Metallica has also been banned from radio's... but why?

"One" I could understand, but "Enter Sandman"?
