Due to all sorts of reasons I won't go into now, I've never had a g/f and I have never had sex. I do masturbate heavily but recently I've been considering paying for sex, ie going to a prostitute. I believe this will help me gain confidence.

It's up to you of course but I don't see how paying for sex would increase your confidence. Meeting people who want to spend time with you and spending time with friends can do that. But being with someone who is only there because you are paying her?
You may want to think about how this decision could impact on your future relationships, it might put off girlfriends if they know you lost your virginity to a prostitute.
I agree, I really don't see how sleeping with a prostitute is going to improve your confidence, in fact it might do the opposite, as its likely that she will only be intrested in the money. Personally I think your first time should be with someone you care about and who cares about you, even if it does not quite go to plan (like my first time), because we cared about each other it really did not matter.

You are not far from London. There are a few places in London where you can get introduced to a nice clean girl, and you get to take her out and do what you want as long as she agrees. (sort of like an escort but without boundaries)
This will cost you money though.
It's much more viable to go out in essex in any club, for the sake of an argument i would suggest Jumpin Jaks in Harlow, Essex, you can go there and practice on a number of unfortunately very easy girls and get laid.

No I don't have personal experience, but one of my friends in London and his mate often use it, even though they are both in relationships....My friends reasoning is that it's different and is kind of a break from the norm...

Also, the difference is that you are not guaranteed sex with these girls, and they are all clean and well dressed and all have apartments in Knightsbridge or whatever, my friend pays £200 per hour....there is a difference!

You have low self-esteem and this in reality is what is stopping you getting a girlfriend, its nothing to do with how you look (which you have mentioned in a previous thread). It would be crap sex anway in my opinion, I know a few guys who have 'dabbled' with prostitutes and they all say thats its just cold and clinical.

Regarding the topic, one of my old bf lost his virginty to a prostitue and it never bothered me. It didn't stop him from being a nice and sensitive person. But I think for sure some girls might not take it as well as I did. I am quite open-minded when it comes to sex.
