I dont hunt or kill, I shoot paper targets and whatever is on the firing range. Yes, 50BMG was designed for use on tanks in WW1, they wont hurt a tank made since 1940.
BTW- since after my first post, the topic has been political. This is a public fourm, I have as much a right being here as you.

Remember that the UK was in peace time and growing when Hitler started. Look to your southeast and you will see a lot of the middle eastern countries ready for war. What about China, India etc all with nukes. Why do they have them, uh , war, right. Get your head out of the sand. Crime is up 27% since the UK gun ban, Australia has had a 19% increase in violent crime.

My goal was to be informative, simple and not too agressive.
From the stand of engineering, and for those who know what a M-16/AR-15 is, it is impressive. Im just an average guy that has designed what others in the industry said couldnt be done. The pics are the prototype, and at one time it was one of a kind.

At 1000+yards there is a lot of skill needed to even get close, with any weapon. For 90% of the owners/builders of these that is what it is all about, a challange, a sport.
The US military as well as forgin military ues 50BMG in the sniper role as well as hard target interdiction. I dont know about the UK, but in the US, small arm innovation comes mostly from the civillian market. For me, that is one area of focus.

As for the USAF dropping weaponry to UK citizens, I just have to ask where the planes took off? The range of the planes was too far for them to take off from US bases...

I am sorry my site is not like a movie or video game site. Never ment it to be. And I really thought this site was an anti-gun political site. But IM having fun none the less.
