Semi-Permanent Tattoos

My mate told me that there's such a thing as a tattoo that lasts for four to five years and fades during that period..
I'm really into the idea of having a tattoo next year when my parents can't complain but I'm unsure as to whether I'll feel the same in years to come... which is why a semi sounds like a better idea than a permanent.
I heard that someone on the boards has a semi..?
Any websites/comments would help

they don't fade, usually, (there was one woman who'd have hers for over 10 years and it was still going strong). and if they do fade they tend to fade in patches, and not completely, and look quite shit.
because they're not 'proper' tattoos, the restrictions and laws regarding them are not as strict. this means any old place can do them, and they're not required be law to have the same strict sterilistion as regular tattoos. this can lead to you getting dodgy blood-borne nasties.
they tend to scar. all tattoos are a scar, but with a permanent one, you don't see it, because the ink hides it. if the ink fades, you can be left with a dodgy looking scar.
there are loads more reasons why you shouldn't really get one.... google it
I got a small allegedly 'semi-permanent' tattoo and have regretted it ever since. This was 6 years ago, and since then the place has been closed down which doesn't sound promising. The tattoo was done with a needle and hurt mildly, I can't see it ever fading and I feel like dying every time I look at it. So please be 100% commited to getting one done or else you'll end up hating it...alot!
Peace
But if i remember rightly there was a big thread about them in anything goes last week or something.
Peace
Youve beena round for...3 years? You should know better... :yeees:

Love u really tho
semi-permanent tattoo's don't exist...respectable joints don't even mention them...
the ink is injected just below the dead skin, into the dermis...
anywhere else and it won't stay...so there's nowhere else a tattoo can be placed, meaning semi-permanent tattoo's can't exist soz, but if you got a semi-permanent tattoo, it's permanent
Nah you know that if it is you or me doing it people start bitching...
cool!
Hehe...
