    I was in Sainsburys and they were selling bug massive packets of fegs with 50 or even more in them.

    Lambert and Butler does the job for me!

    Blue gauloise blonde are nothing... Test the mais ones or the gauloise without filter and brown tabacco... fucing cheap tho... when i was broke used to smoke some, if people stop you in the street to ask you one, you pull the packet out and they just change their mind...

    I quit in January, go me :) Not for NY, i didn't smoke for a day because i was hungover and then i ran out, and was too lazy to go and get any more. I just decided that if my laziness outweighed my need for a cigarette, i probably didn't need to smoke any more! 20 a day to 2 every two weeks. I think i'm pretty good :)

    I smoked marlboro lights though.

    They do indeed sell cigarettes in 10s, 20s and in the case of Royals, for instance, 24s in the UK. However, exactly which cigarettes the stores are allowed to sell is dictated by the tobacco companies. A number of shops are not allowed to sell 10s of cigarettes because of contracts stating so, I've discovered.

    Imperial Tobacco are the ones who run quite a few of these contracts. Part of it is because of the lack of profits that 10s make. On a 20-pack of ciggies, around £4 of what you pay is taken in taxes, leaving very little profit for the shop and companies. They make even less profit on the smaller packs, which is often another reason why they decide not to sell them.
