    Gotta find the gems.

It's definitely not one of the worlds top 10 shopping meccas, but the devonshire quarter is amazing. Awesome shops, and amazing pubs.
I'm not letting anyone get away with dissing that.

    Don't know.
    I definitely had troubles adapting.

But my English home is definitely Sheffield. And even when I've graduated I'd like to think that I'll have a soft spot for the place.

Sheffield's alright really, it's a lot better than it used to be.

I just remember what it was like in the early 1990s. :yuck:

When ITV did a drama in the 1990s about nuclear apocalypse, they set it in Sheffield.

    Funny that.

To be honest, Sheffield isn't Utopia, but its aesthetics are not bad at all, and it has all the basics a city needs. I don't get why people are so against it.

I lived there for 2 years and loved it. Lovely parks, nice views over the city, easy walk to the peak district, good for mushroom picking.

No, I'm thinking of The Last Train on ITV actually:)

Sheffield's a lot better than it was, in all seriousness. I'd still rather live in the West Riding than down there though.
