mmmmmm how nice does fresh bread smell? :yum:

its making me so hungry, i live in the flat above a coffee shop and everytime i open my window all i can smell is baking bread or bacon *drools* it ruins my diet.

anyway stop this post being totally pointless , what food do you think smells the best when your cooking it?

    Bread baking, bacon, any kind of roast, any kind of stew or casserole, cottage pie...the list is endless, but definitley not fish (see thread about fishy foods smelling rank!)! I love food and I love cooking so appreciate the smells. This ismaking me feel really hungry now but I have to go buy food before I can eat, as just got back from seeing my parents for a few days, and that involves effort!

    smokey bacon smells amazing and fresh baked bread!
    also, roast potatoes cooked with tyhme and when making a curry at the beginning the corriander and onions is lurvely!

    oh and pasta sauce with loads of garlic mmmmm

    the smell of other people cooking is always rank tho. like if you walk up the stairs of flats and can smell loads of different people cooking. its making me retch just thinking about it

    I love it when I'm walking down the road, almost at my house, and can smell some really yummy food. Then I get into my house and realise it is what my mum is cooking. That's great. Although it sucks when the lovely smell is coming from someone elses house instead.

    i think its because i used to live in a huge shared house with 19 others.

    and 1 guy used to cook the most disgusting concoctions that smelt vile and i lived next to the kitchen on our floor and the smell used to come under my bedroom door *throws up at the thort*

    one of my housemates always cooks food that smells really strong, really vile and the smell lingers for hours :yuck:

    I used to have a flatmate like that in halls. Used to have to open the windows for hours which isn't good in Aberdeen in the winter :no:

    Don't ever come to my house as that is what my housemate cooks a lot of and yes it does smell disgusting!! I like spag bol and curries but his smell terrible
