    no but i did only notice recently that on BBC news, if the story is related to Scotland they have a scottish reporter, Irish, and Irish reporter and so on...however, ive just thought that might be because the live there and its easier :chin:

    that would be true but i don't mix with people form leeds. most of my friends are southerners. in fact the majority of leeds uni students are posh southerners.

    it's usually just that weird faux-posh/faux-southern 'student' accent that people adopt once they get to uni.

    I've seen some people try to "tone down" their accents when they're out. I must admit I've done this myself too. My accent seems to be turning more and more American - been watching too many US TV shows...
