Go to your control panel, add&remove programs.

Click to show windows updates and remove the last one.

Always reboot your system and if the problem is still there then go for what BritJames suggest...

With msn i get the following message. I have already tried unistalling and reinstalling. I installed the beta of 8 yesterday and thought that may have been the problem so have got rid of that. (Edit steam isnt working)

    Heres what msn says.

There's always an exception to the rule.

Try turning windows firewall off and restart MSN and try again

System restore will bring your computer vback to before you installed any uipdate and it should bring back msn to a state where it is working.

I havnt tried that yet as it turns out every computer in the house is having the same problem. On the msn troubleshooting thing it says theres a problem with the key ports?

Is your normal firewall needing settings adjusted?

Turn off all windows security things. Just run your normal firewall and anti virus, if not... turn them off. If it works then... check all settings.

Sounds a bummer. Reset the modem if its external too.

If every computer in your house had the trouble then maybe it came from the router or the network. Well if now it works again, all is good then :)
