Measuring for a bra size..

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I want to order some undies off La Senza, and have got my eye on a nice set, but I want to make sure I order the right size.

I don't have time to go to La Senza and try the stuff on, but I seem to remember my other La Senza bra is 34A, too big on the back, and if I pull it tight like it should be, slightly too small on the cup.

Obviously sizing between places differs a lot, I seem to be a 32B at the moment, but want to double check.

Anybody know how to measure for a bra size?

Because my nearest one is a 45minute bus ride away, and I don't have time to do that before I place the order.

I'm considering getting measured at M&S, but I'm fairly sure the sizes differ based on what I have in my knicker drawer!

thats why i dont buy underwear mail order.
I have to try bras on because sometimes i have to get a slightly different size to get a good fit. it can vary from style to style, let alone brand to brand.

I did find the sizing thing, and went through it and came out right at the top of 32A or bottom of 32B. I'd rather have the bra slightly tight and have to loosen the back/straps than not fill it, especially as it's part of my boyfriends birthday present so ordered the A ;)

It should be pretty tight around the back, well not tight so it's stopping the blood circulation! but firm fitting.

When I tried to measure myself, I came out as C yet when I get measured professionally I'm always a DD. I've learnt not to measure myself

    I came out as a 36C when I'm a 34DD. Annoying isn't it?

I just get mine measured professionally. Its far easier.

i've only been measured properly once (la senza) and she was crap. she said i was a 32E and got me some but they were wayyyy too small!! so i just tend to try on different sizes and get what fits me best.

Just got measured (in Marks) as a 32B, and then ended up buying a 32C, but she said it was different because it was a push up.

Will try the one from La Senza and change it if it doesn't fit, seen as it's already been sent.

I've been told that in the past. I'm a 34DD but when its a push up then say I'm a 34E. I never buy that size though!
