The English Secondary Students’ Association (ESSA) is a unique organisation run by and for secondary school students. It seeks to ensure that students’ views and opinions are taken into consideration by education policy makers throughout the country. In addition ESSA provides training and assistance to enable individual students to get their views heard within their own local and school environments.
ESSA is seeking to appoint an outstanding young person to undertake a three-month placement based in London (mid April – mid July). and another young person for a six month placement from September 2006. The post is ideal for a student taking a gap-year before university. This is a paid position, with a salary of £11,128 pro rata.
The closing date for applications for the April position is Friday 17th March 2006. If your application is successful you will be contacted by Friday 24th March, and invited to attend an Interview at ESSA’s office in London on Thursday 30th March 2006.
The closing date for the 6 month placement (starting in September) will be early summer (date to be announced), but early applications and enquiries are welcome.
