I was just wondering if schools have the right to put a persons exam results on display even if the student specifically asks them not to?
Is there not a privacy law that exists regarding an issue such as this?
Any feedback will be more than welcome.
Thanks

umm, i dunno bout the legalities, but i'm pretty sure if u specifically ask them not to, they should not have done it. is this hypothetical, or real?

    it's purely hypothetical!

They don't have any right at all.
If they post your results and it causes you unjust embarassment or discomfort you can report them and probably do something about it. It is part of the data protection act, any information they have about you can not be passed onto a third party (your school friends) without your prior authorisation.

Hell, universities do it: pass lists are posted for all to see.

uhh.. legano i think? Yeah, it's in the south - we'll be like an hour from milan [but i suppose you'd know that already so.. yeah]. We're going to starve for 2 weeks apparantly because it's sooo expensive to eat out!

    Lugano, even <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> very beutiful area, green mountains and lakes abound <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> (i sound like a fucking tourist brochure :rolleyes <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

Eating out...well, it IS expensive, but not completely unaffordable. think london prices, then take about 10% off. In an average gasthof restaurant, expect about Sfr7 for salads, Sfr19-25 for pasta dishes and Sfr30-50 for fish and meat. Desserts are about Sfr15. These are zurich prices, i would imagine lugano will be slightly cheaper. Why u going down there, for a holiday or?

(btw, to get Sfr into pounds (approx), divide by 2.5).

Yep, i'm going on holiday with my friend and her family [and some of her family are living in italy so it was quite convenient for them to arrange]. Looking forward to it- even if i can't spell the name of the place!!
