    Paella is disgusting...

But tapas, amaazing. When I lived in Spain there was a lil tapas bar at the end of my street, they'd give us it ridiculously cheap cos we went in like every single day, lush!

    I also like Mexican.

Tapas is wonderful, which is just as well, as Newcastle has several rather good tapas bars.

I'll be contrary and say the best country for food is Germany. Sausage, wiener schnitzel, chips, more sausage. Wonderful.

Argh, Germany is like hell on earth food-wise for me. I don't know how I'll manage to survive there long-term. It is heaven for meat eaters though.

Good thing I like sauerkraut and potato salad. :thumb:

Sauerkraut is yum, I had homemade sauerkraut when I stayed there a couple of years ago.

    ^^

In Germany lunch is generally their hot meal (sausages and fried potatoes/spaghetti carbonara, anyone?), and they have cold cuts and cheese in rolls at breakfast and teatime.

Each to their own, I guess. The worst was a restaurant we went to where my ex ordered a pasta dish that turned out being spaghetti with mince and pouring cream. What evil mind would think of that?
