all is well apart from ...windows installer seems to have gone awol!
i cannot install anything!
running xp pro.
tried all manner of things ...
is there a command i can type in?

    Could probably download windows installer..

    Otherwise just do a repair using the window XP cd and it will put all necessary files back into place and will keep your settings and crap.

    nah ...you don't get that option.
    press r for repair and then it's the old typed in commands.

    It's cos of Micro$hite crap...

    When you are at that point select new installation...

    Then it will detect the current version of windows installed and ask you if you
    just want to repair it.

    Say yes this time and it will do the same as when you install the first time, but not affect your settings installed software and all.

    no mate ...not on xp pro.

    i ended up reinstalling over the original so lost very little.
    did loose my passwords and cracks but had all them on disc anyhow so ...seems ok now.
