    *baffled* makes two of us! I had a few extra scans from 28 weeks onwards I think, and she was growing perfectly fine- just a little small. The dates were right though coz she was dated quite early by scan and there wasn't much scope that way anyway. I'm not exactly massive, her dad was a midget- what did they expect? I went with the "doctor knows best" theory... The fact that it was such a short labour, coupled with the braxton hicks I'd been having and the nearness to her due date, makes me think she was just about ready to pop naturally anyway. GGRRRRR

    Good for you for not letting anyone talk you into not being induced. I studied Midwifery for two years and spent many night shifts with women who had been induced whose babies weren't wanting to go anywhere. Many of them ended up with forceps or Caesareans in the early hours, and I have had a hatred of induction ever since.

    1/ Yes I told them I'm not being induced until 42 weeks.

    2/ I don't think it's going to be another week, in fact it's looking distinctly like it might be tonight.

    I'll let you know!
