Jst- try and get up early to Newcastle, and I'll meet you whenever. I want as much time with both groups, and I'll probably be going to Soof Sheelz about teatime.

Aye, I think I'll try and come direct, and save the Via Carlisle bollocks for summer.

Carlisle has the most charming and vaguely psychopathic train station nutters, in my humble experience.

    Nowt's wrong with Carlisle.

I worked as a criminal defence lawyer in Carlisle for long enough.

My job was in the News and Star loads of times :hyper:
is it coz you're scare of bumping into me? :(

No, its cause he'd have to get the train at 6.19 to come via Carlisle;)

I went to Carlisle station once. A freight train went through, and not much else happened.

    Nah, I don't play CS.

Only because I don't have the attention span for it.

    I dunno.

    I was here first.

I bet someone's taken my name in vain. Treat them like an heretic- feed them to the lions.

For historical reasons I do Leeds/Bradford/wherever I am to York, then get on a whirry GNER to Nucassle.

    Possibly going.

Aye. I'm looking at that, or Vermin changing at Leeds.

Limited tickets come in at £21.50, but there all Virgin from Leeds, but I could take the GNER train and just get a Standard Day which is £28 odd and more flexible. Choices choices...

Don't think so. Tell ya what, lets arrange a time for you and me to meet, so that I know what time to buy my ticket for. Then everyone else can work around us. Oh also what sort of time do meets usually finish? The trains don't run too late because it's a Saturday night.

Isn't the last train at 8.30 or something? It's pathetic! You should be staying over and sampling the true Geordie nightlife. But meets just finish when everyone disappears, I suppose.

Just buy your ticket and I'll meet you whenever, I just looked back and Kermit suggested noon at Burger King which is inside the station. Though if you want to come up a bit earlier we could rendezvous with koe and lea for a mini-tour. :p

Last train back seems to be 20:46. Trains there are pretty regular, I could meet you at 10, 10:30, 10:50, 11, 12 etc. I'll go to the station on Wednesday and buy my ticket. JsT I will probably get a ticket for the 20:46 train, but an open return should cover that, right? Briggi I can't afford to stay over in Newcassal, sorry!

I'm looking at 08.47 from Huddersfield which gets in 09.38 connecting to 10.03 to Newcastle (its a GNER). I'll be on the 20.46 back which connects at York for Huddersfield.

You can get a cheap day return for £12.95 with railcard, or bout £20 without.
