You'd be pissed too if your specs cost £150 and your prescription is -10 or something. I recommend selotape, though you may look like a child :)

I tried to superglue a broken bridge back together once... It didn't work, the surfaces were too thin to support the weight of the specs. Remind me why your specs are so expensive again though? Aren't your lenses free?

They're specsavers own  I've had these for about 2/3 years now.

Haha, I wish they were free. I get a £73 NHS voucher towards my lenses. Still leaves me with about another £150 to pay after that, because of my -10 prescription

Your posts make me sad. My dad and my sister are blind as bats. I'm with my brother in still 20/20 vision (I get checked yearly) But now at 49 my mother has reading glasses.
I dont want to go thru any of this, not even 29 years from now :crying:

Specsaver can fix them I think. I just spent £200.10 on a pair of glasses this week. was £150 to get my lenses fixed as my precription is -12!

Well, today it just got worse. They've now fully snapped in half. Mum's rushing around work phoning specsavers here and everywhere seeing what they can do lol.
They've still got the frames in specsavers atm, so they've put them aside for me to have my lenses transferred from the broken ones into a fresh pair, only £60.

Hopefully, they'll be okay until the glasses I ordered 3 weeks ago from a designer eyewear shop, arrive from italy - should be any day now. (Yes, these ones are designer - my first pair of designer specs costing £350) so lets see if they last longer than my currents specsaver's glasses. :thumb:
