giant squid film

i dont know if anyone here will know of this film, but basically its a thriller/horror film about a giant 'killer' squid..

anyone know the name of it?!! im sorry i dont really have any details or anything but thats all i really know about it!! except.. i think at the beginning of the film a man and a woman are on a dinghy and the squid comes up and gets them lol :D

any help on this appreciated!!! thanks

    The Beast sounds most likely - actually a TV series rather than movie from the guy who wrote Jaws
