Things you want to do in your lifetime.

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I was thinking today about what things I want to do in my lifetime. I'm going to post the links to the things I want to do (if they have websites of course).
What about everyone else?

I want to do:
The Liffey Descent in either racing K1 or K2, and complete it.

The Devizes to Westminster (DW) in either racing K1 or K2, over 24 hours and complete it.

I want to win one of my races at The Nottingham Sprints (if you go to the Women's D results for April, June, July, September of 2005 I'm on there as H Murphy :p)

Travel to Australia, America, Ascension Island, New Zealand and Finland

Own one of these

Have some of these

Do something like this

ETA I would like to have children as well

If I do the Liffey, it is about 99% likely that I will capsize whilst shooting the wiers. I intend to have 'PTO' written on the underneath of my boat in Duct Tape!
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Haha. I used to write PTO on my 'stories' in primary school. Ahh bless. I wish you luck tho. Especially in the bungee jump :nervous:

Heh, it's not like I'm going to do them tomorrow or anything. The kayaking ones are all doable, in fact if I hadn't come to uni and was still training at home, I could have done the DW this year, and my sprinting was improving so I might've won a race!

    Become one of these.

Have the guts to do this. (and hopefully for a decent cause).

Live here, and also here. Buy one of these. Make my own.

Do more of this, this, this, this, and this.

You two just look so right together.

As for me, I'd like this to be me and Mr M one day (a long time from now)

And I'd like to see this lot grow up hopefully happy, healthy and independent. Oh, and well paid so they can look after me in my old age. :D

Anything else...who knows. I don't make too many plans.

For one thing, I want to do this and end up taking part in the making of lots of things like this and this.

For another, more than anything I want to start being like this and eventually follow a line like this: 1, 2, 3.

All the while, doing lots of this.

At this time, only the first picture seems to be a realistic expectation. :(And some would say that the 1st and 2nd lines of events are mutually exclusive.

    Good to know...

Where I work we should actually develop our own OS this year based on Linux core... We are tired of using Windows crap with the tech we reserach & develop... we want a stable evironment... Linux based is the way to go we think...

You wouldn't be a developer by any chance?

I'm a computer science student. I agree about OSes, am using Ubuntu as the primary one.
