    I think so.
Due to lack of experience/knowledge/memories (pick one) I can't say about caring for your boy/girlfriend, but it definitely is possible to care too much for people. You care too much when you feel too bad for something that happened to them, or something stupid they did, which you had no way to prevent.

That's what I think at the moment anyway. My line of thought on the matter hasn't finished so far, so it's very possible this opinion will change, even without outside intervention.

I think caring can become turn into protective/obsessive/what not if its too much. So imo, yes.

    Yes.

not if it's healthy caring. what you can do too much of is the clingy, needy, annoying faux-caring.

you can't care too much, but you can need too much.

You can care and still distance yourself from somebody's problems. I tend to think that people who get too attached are perhaps needy themselves.

Yeah, done it in the last relationship.

Neeeeeeever reciprocated, so it was wasted energy tbh. ;D

Yes, there is such a thing.

I haven't experienced it yet though. I learn a lot when reading other peoples' problems.

caring too much, though, or caring for the wrong person?

if you had invested the amount you did into someone who had appreciated and reciprocated it, would it still have been too much?

    it's all relative, i guess.

Both, it started caring too much and as years rolled by it was for the wrong person. :)
