Where d'you buy your CD's/DVD's

I don't think this has been done before (well I couldn't find it). Where does everyone get their CD's and DVD's from?

I get most of them off the internet. I tend to go for Play.com for DVD's. But since I mainly buy obscure foreign films, I have no choice but to go online, or pay about £20 per DVD on the highstreet.
I sometimes get CD's from them too, but get most of them from 101CD, which is quite cheap, but you can also sample bits of the songs before you buy them which is quite good if you've only heard a couple of songs off an album.
On the highstreet, I love Music Zone for both. They're the same price as most places for new stuff, but all the older CD's and DVD's are really cheap. They're brilliant if you're after expanding you back catalogue.

Anyone else have any favourite shops or websites they could recommend.

    I don't really buy DVD's, but most of the films i like to watch are free to download from archive.org.

    Music Zone is good but always end up spending too much becuase everything is so cheap I buy so much! I got 4 DVD's and a CD album for just under £17 yesterday!

    I love Fopp for both CD's and DVDs; they're nice and cheap and their chart section is one of the smallest in the store - gotta love that!

    Yeh I'm a fan of Fopp too, for the £5/£7/£10 racks and the really cheap novels. And it just seems a bit nicer than the other chains.

    I'd sometimes buy music on the internet, but you just can't beat walking out of a shop with a new CD, desperate to get it in the player.

    Play or Tesco or occoasionally amazon because sometimes they are cheaper than play. I like to shop around :p

    I ordered a few games from them early last year and I waited 4 months before I cancelled the order, it was completely ridiculous. And that is why they must die. Amazon all the way!

    Amazon's marketplace sellers usually for cd's. brand new factory sealed packeging, imported from america, usually. inc delivery cd's usually come to around £5-£7 tops.

    Amazon, mostly. HMV if I'm in Colchester, Virgin in Braintree (being the only god damn music shop there, it kinda has to be. Plus I like the Addict card. Mmmm....11 for the price of 10...).

    Normally either Asda for chart or Amazon/Cd-wow/play for other. It all depends on my mood as I quite like going out and randomly getting CDs.

    DVDs is normally HMV, WHSmith and the like.

    HMV or Virgin mainly. If i'm in london then there's a second hand store in Notting hill thats great for bargins and obscure buys. Fopp or Rough trade too.

    Online either amazon or play.

    I download 99% of my music but if there's an albulm I must buy it'll be out of HMV.

    Forgot to mention that Avalanche is pretty good too. They've a decent selection of second hand stuff that isn't pricey. I think they've only got stores in Scotland though.

    my first try for cds is music zone or fopp for the cheapness but generally what i want is too specialist so they don't have it. so it's hmv or virgin for me :thumb:

    I use Amazon for all my online entertainment shopping, the service is great and most of the prices are so much cheaper than in the shops.

    I like those special free internet albums in mp3 form.

    If buying though, it'll be Virgin for Braintree, or HMV for colchester/chelmsford.

    God Virgin is so expensive.

    Amazon (including marketplace), ebay and play.com online, HMV on the high street. I also got something from 101cd over Christmas, but the above are the main ones.
