Yep, its coming up to that time of year again, Valentines day!!!
Ive done a search and am googling it as we speak, but often people come up with such unusual ideas.
What can i buy my fella for V.Day? We've been together nearly 3years, and i want something special+unusual. All suggestions welcome, and i dont really mind about the price!
And, before someone suggests taking him away, ive got exams the 2 weeks before so wont have time to arrange anything (and also, i always arrange thing like that+holidays, and it'd be nice if i was surprised for once)
Cheers

aftershave
photo frame with a photo inside (of you/both of you)
teddy (a bit girly, but i've been given one before and liked it)
candle (again, a bit girly, but I would like them)
Also, a good idea is think back to something personal, like what you did when you first met or your first date. My first date was watching a film at the cinema. I would love to receive something related to that film as it would always remind me of that time. A DVD or the music to the film etc.
What if you take them to dinner 2-3 nights a week already
I always like getting something personal instead of just a general, your a man, heres a gift kind of present. I usually keep track in my mind of things they have mentioned every now and again.
I finally found out how to get him a new watch band for his watch so I'm planning on getting that for him.
Lucifer devil - he likes cars, especially minis - hes a mech.
Sounds really stupid, but id like to get him something engraved!
Does he wear any jewlery or is there any jewlery that he likes? Maybe something small like that with a nice engravement.
Just thought i could maybe buy him a ring, bcos he has one, but it's bent abit and out of shape!
Its alright for him he is in full-time employment, I stoped working part-time this year as its my final year at uni.
Iwantoneofthose.com is always a good place. as red jelly said a photo frame with pic of you or the 2 of you is always good. i teddy (love my gaint Eeyro and tatty teddy).
Only present i have to think about at the moment is my mums birthday, as its the same day
Last year we gave each other a gift though...probably only because we went through a shitty time just beforehand. Anyway, I gave him new ski goggles (how exciting, but he needed them) and he got me a Pink Oleander in a gorgeous clay pot which I've been able to attempt growing all year. We much prefer to get gifts that we really need or have wanted for a while, but that just may seem that tad expensive or extravagant to buy for ourselves.
How about something he's wanted for a while - CD, piece of sporting equipment, item of clothing etc. Or if you like the idea you had of getting him a new ring, then do that. I'm sure he'd really appreciate it and it's something that will last, and kind of be of use...as adornment.
As long as you're happy with not getting anything in return.
totally.
don't see the point of it, myself.
That's fine, some people are like that, problems only occur when one of you likes it and the other doesn't.
I got it done through www.canvasartists.com. They are a company in America but post free to UK unless you want express delivery. They emailed we with a preview of the drawing and then I just suggested things to add or change and they did it, emailed me back with another preview and I suggested one other change and they did it and let me preview it again and I just had to say that it was great and they posted it. In total in took about three weeks, but i was very fussy with the photo because of technical details that no one would have noticed except my boyfriend!!! The drawings are done by hand and can be done in different sizes or more than one picture can be put together in anyway you want. They also do oil paintings, water colours etc. I bought a nice frame which was only £5.99 and it looks really good. My boyfriend really liked it as it is something personal.
Katralla, that's a brill idea!!!
Hey - why not do something nice for whoever at some random time, like - oooo, when they're not expecting it, instead of making a big fuss when you're being TOLD to do so and being chaged a hefty premium to do so?!
Load of shite + blokes generally don't really give two monkeys about it - it's the girlies who get upset/bothered in general and so the only reason blokes bother with anything.
G.
