Gingerbread men!!!

Right, i was in my local safeway store not long ago, and as you do i bought a gingerbread man!

At the counter the product name flashed up as 'gingerbread person'

Surely this is political correctness gone too far!?
They will be having Gingerbread Ethnic Minority next just so they dont offend anybody by leaving them out!
(im joking of course)
However. It does seem stupid to go as far as to rename a biscuit!

    Yeah well if someone was to complain and they hadnt done anything about the name, then they would have been in the shit no doubt! for equal rights to women and so forth!

    It will always be a gingerbread man to me, because the outline of it looked like one. If it was shaped with a dress, much like the one on a ladies toilet door in pubs, then it would be a gingerbread woman...
    ...I can't believe I'm talking about gingerbread men. lol.

    P.C. is all good and well, but when it goes from being politically correct to being plain arrogant like making a gingerbread 'person' I have to stand defiant.

    How daft. Perhaps it's because the poor little thing is totally androgynous looking. If they wanted to call it a gingerbread MAN I think they should give it the appropriate genitalia. The whole idea of there not being anything at all to distinguish it either way is rather strange, and confusing to children. Might start a campaign to give gingerbread people gender rights. <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
