Sorry all,

just followin on from the first question, do you think sex and self confidence are linked?

Does having sex increase your confidence in yourself? :yum:

Surely confidence has nothing to do with what sex feels like. :\

And no, fucking does not make me feel more confident, personally.

It works the other way. Confidence will make you better in bed.

i agree. just like anything else if you're unsure of yourself and not confident then you're more likely to be bad in bed.

Getting laid certainly increases your confidence when approatching women makes you that bit more chearfull and charming.

Confidence in the bedroom is easy to fake, if your not feeling it, conidence when trying to get someone there isnt,
Or at least thats what I find in my limited and bitter experience

I definately think they are linked, once you have sex as in just lost your virginity, then you would perhaps be a lot more confident to flirt around boys (obviously when u r single again!)

Also i dont really think it takes as much time/closeness for u to have sex with the 2nd person then it does to loose your virginty.

Another thing is that generally, people who have had sex in college are generally the more confident people, maybe because they have had sex, or maybe becase they are more attractive to guys and that is the reason the have had sex.

So basically i think they are linked, but not sure how!!!

    Thanks for that everyone! :thumb:

I do really believe the both are linked; it's a bit of a vicious circle, maybe that's just me!

I'd have to say to be "bad in bed" is like being bad at breathing. Sex is an instict, not an attribute. If you are that anxious about yourself and you shrivel up, just remember, people have been pounding away for thousands of years. It can't be that hard.

In social situations however I would imagine sexual experience could give you a nip of confidence when it comes around to a sexual topic. I personally have been in the most uncomfortable of situations where my peers would discuss various sexual experiences and encounters. When asked, I would draw out stories of vague, self-induced sexual experiences. Needless to say, my peers were more beside themselves than impressed.
