It would be a delicious irony if the most powerful man on earth was toppled by something as small and insignificant as a pretzel, and not a global terrorist. I personally think he got a bit pissed. Surely he shouldn't have been alone anyway? Where were his aides, in case GWB had a pretzel related emergency? Or god forbid one involving the sofa!

Wow - you really have the gift of sarcasm don't you? Delicious Irony? are you truly demented? He's the president for christs sake - no it wouldnt be delicious irony itd be a tragedy that would dramatically affect the leadership of this country and the course of the war.

Hmm we have more accidents involving mattresses than gunshot wounds...maybe so. but at least we're not in a situation where we banned handguns and in spite of that, gun crime went up.

No, we just have 10 year old kids being stabbed in the thigh and left to bleed to death in alleys.

Lets not get into yet another debate on guns people. Please.

Hmm regular basis. Appears we have a statician in our midst! Ill refrain from turning this into another gun debate where you'll no doubt attempt to take the moral high ground, yet be unable to quantify such claims with any degree of accuracy.

But it is a delicious irony! I don't see how it could be otherwise. It is something you Americans fail to grasp, that despite everything that happens, it would be quite funny to hear Bush's last words as "damn, I knew I should have chewed BEFORE swallowing"

And I have to deal with people like you talking down to me all day, and telling me how much more they know. It works both ways.

I may be younger than you, but it doesn't mean I'm stupid.

Fucking hell guys, I was only giving you a theory based on completely circumstantial evidence...I was all just a little too cheesy for me.

And it's not as if I have any faith in the truth telling capabilities of the US Govt.

Oh, and todays juicy titbit from the world of US Politics...

Dick Chaney arrivied at his 61st birthday party with a bruised lip, cause by his.....pet dog!

Apparently one of his labradors bumped into his face while they were playing.

And these are the two most 'powerful' men in the world...

Pretzel, Bagel, toast, yeah, yeah, yeah,...

Where were his SS guys when this all happened? I thought that he couldn't take a dump without them around just in case the toilet bowl swallowed him - maybe some of you could enligten me.

Forgive me, but (*chuckling*) how did you manage fit a bagel into you mouth and then aspirate it?

    Anyway, enough already - {from a not so quasi-medical expert}.

Guess you should refer to Theodore Roosevelt or Winston Churchill or Harry Truman for examples of successful leaders who were blunt. And John F. Kennedy dealing with the Cuban Missile Crisis wasn't exactly pleasant.

the one big problem that i think there is over here is with racism,

maybe its just me that is wrong, but is every attack by a white person / white gang onto a minority group / person a racist attack?? (i understand that in some cases it is, im not denying that fact)

and why is it that it seems that everyone over here that has a view on racial issues is automatically a racist?

i mean i dont know if this is actually true, as i've heard it said so many times im starting to think its a joke, but they're complaining about us having black binliners, apparently is a racist reference,

also about (sorry dont remember his name,) Blunkett, (home minister or something?) neway he made a very valid point in my opinion, that asylum seekers etc. should learn basic english skills, and study how our country works, and all of a sudden hes a extreamist racist.

everyone has to go out of their way to appear politically correct, i mean calling people from Pakistan, Pakis, i really wouldnt see the problem with it, only they have linked it to being racist and now you cant say it anymore,

The reality is the media in their infinite lack of wisdom and pathetic drooling for coveted awards have helped create the atmosphere for political correctness. Myself, I have no problems with people who call me a Mc or Guinea (Im Italian and Irish)
and I dare say from talking to a lot of them, Pakistanis have few issues over being called Pakis - in fact one gentleman told me it was something he'd heard loooong before Bush.
Personally I avoid catering to anyones delicate sensibilities - its a waste of time over mere words.
