does anyone else think pigs in blankets are the best thing ever, we should eat them more often, we only really have em at xmas, but im gonna campain for em more often, especially when made with sausage meat in bacon instead of just the sausage wrapped. amazing things

Melon and raspberries to start, roast turkey, roast beef, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, mash potato, carrots, sprouts, pigs in blankets, orange and cranberry stuffing, yorkshire puddings and gravy main course, then chocolate fudge cake with cream for pudding (I don't like christmas pudding!). Yum!! It was great!

    - Roast goose,
    - roast potatoes,
    - roast parsnips (both cooked in goose fat and garlic),
    - sausagemeat and leek stuffing,
    - pigs in blankets,
    - cheese stick things wrapped in bacon,
    - honey and mustard glazed carrots,
    - broccoli,
    - peas,
    - gravy

Rest of the family had red bean porridge (sweet dish) and bird's nest soup afterwards :yuck: chinese soups and desserts are decidedly not to my taste.

Someone else can cook the sodding xmas dinner next year, i always get roped into it for some reason. Although at least it means i don't have to do any washing up.

pigs in blankets are the bees knees yes. but i think if i had them more often than i do, it'd ruin the yumminess.

people have yorkshire puddings on christmas day with turkey?! they're meant to go with beef!

    Lentil soup
I had mince pie (don't like turkey or anything)
    Roast tatties
    Brussel sprouts
    carrots
mini sausage (couldn't have pigs in blankets as sausages were too small)
    and some cake

Mushroom and brie tart, stewed red cabbage and roast potatoes. There were carrots, sprouts and parsnips too, but I don't like them :(
Had some very nice praline and cream ice cream for pudding though :)
