Making a CD...

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
If you were going to make a CD to give to an ex, that you have an odd relationship with, but to try and make them think about you, what songs would be on it?

That might sound really dysfunctional, but trust me, it's just one of those wierd situations that you might aswell be together but you're not!

So far:
The water Babies - Under the tree
mash potato song
Tazmania Devil
james blunt - beautiful?
james blunt - goodbye my lover
westlife - when you tell me you love me
will young - all time love

haha, that may sound really random but some of them are like "us" tunes, what would you add to that, generic tunes of like......... getting back togetherness!!

Thanks!

how about songs that mean(or meant) something to the both of you? i think only you can complete this successfully and if its not in your heart to put the song on then it shouldnt be there. if you can only think of 4 or 5 songs to put on there then thats all there are tha t will have any affect. dont force it.

I wouldn't. Sticking a CD together to "make your ex think about you" sounds like emotional blackmail to me. Do it if you like, but not with an ulterior motive.

You cannot beat some Briston sound aka Trip-Hop, here is what I would have on a CD.

    Zero 7 - Destiny
    Zero 7 - Somersault
    Morcheeba - The Sea
    Massive Attack - Protection
    Massive Attack - Unfinished Symphony
DJ Shadow - Building Steam With a Grain of Salt
    Orb - Centuries
    Portishead - Glory Box
    Orbital - Halcyon & On & On
    Orbital - Belfast

I totally agree, put the songs that meant alot throughout your relationship. there is a few songs i would play my ex, by sounds of it we have a very similar relationship but we have a son too, we act lke we are together half time by things we do but we not. Very strange but it works for us most of the time
