Can anyone recommend any good drum and bass and house music for me to listen to? I like both genres but don't know any artists or songs really! Thanks.

Dunno much about house. Nash listed most of the really good DnB people.

    High Contrast is particularly good.

    Check out Pendulum aswell.

I've been listening to some pendulum and actually I think it's pretty awesome. Am downloading some other stuff too, though it appears slightly harder to find than the general mainstream!

Soulseek and DC++ you will find anything dance related.

drum and bass in 2005 has pretty much been owned by pendulum. and their album doesnt really have a bad track on it. the essential mix from september is a good starting point.

you could also look at high contrast, subfocus, or bad company for a similar sound.

ltj bukem, goldie and the like might (or might not) be more your thing. less about the mad bassy synths, and more about the rhythm.

if you're unsure, get a newish compilation to find what you like and dont like.

I think the D&B that's being produced nowadays is pretty shite.

You want to go back a few years and download some jungle classics.

Pendulum is just a natural progression from High Contrast. But I still love HC. True Colours Mixed is one of my favourite DnB albums ever.

That and I went to the launch party in Bristol where he was playing in Roni Size's club - it was fucking awesome.

I still find the best D&B to listen to is in the form of sets recorded live at events such as Slammin, One Nation, Accelerated Cuture etc
