Oh god, now I feel bad. I seriously can't afford it, honey. I don't have a job, and when I do get a job, I can't take a day off straight away.

    I wish I could, but I just can't :(.

In the interview they ask if you have any holidays booked, you say "just the 14th January" :)

    I won't get a job before then anyway :p.

Plus, I also have some dates in July (which I really should look up) for my Peru trip.

I'll ring one of you though .

We still have the little issue of arranging a venue ;)

Cool. When you going to Peru? I take it you're planning to do the gringo trail or at least see Macchu Picchu?

One tip, go to Cuzco - one of the best cities in South America.

I'm going to Peru in July with college, to help set up computers and stuff in the Manuel Duarto school for special needs kids in Lima. We're in the process of fundraising atm, as we need to buy the computers, and a lot of our cost is subsidised (it's only £800 for us atm). We are going on the Inca trail for two days and yes, going to Macchu Picchu.

I'm well looking forward to it :D

*cough* location? I still don't know that many places really, seeing as I'm arund Canal Street when I'm usually out :yeees:

    Somewhere nice. Not scruffy.
I'm more of a definite, unless owt interesting happens and it clashes. Unlikely.

Somewhere nice...hmmm... I'm not sure. Suggestions would be welcome as I don't know that many places. I'd suggest Canal Street but it wouldn't be to everyones liking I reckon ;)

Is there anywhere in the Printworks that isn't too scally?

If any people dont know the place that well, wouldn't it be simple just to meet in piccadily gardens or somewhere near because all the travel routes meet up there anyway. And I am not sure there is anywhere that is not scally infested :D

There's a coffee place there. Sounds good.

    Bet it rains :p

It's manchester. It ALWAYS rains :p You should know this by now.

Well it's probably a good idea to meet in Piccadilly Gardens/station, but I'm just trying to avoid a big "where to? errrrr..." type conversation ;)
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I'd have to meet someone at the station because I don't know Manchester at all!

Well we could all meet at the main entrance or under the timetable thing?

    Possibly.

It's been a while since I was last in Piccadilly Station, but there was a Yates's.

If it's still there then that might be a less embarassing/conspicuous/boring place to wait for all to congregate? :)

    Har Har.

At least the embarassment can be dulled with dirt-cheap..."drinks".

Last time, we met in Piccadilly Station under the timetables, and we went to one of the Wetherspoons (the name escapes me!), then to Canal Street for a couple of BOGOF drinks in Manto.

We could go to Deansgate, there's a Wetherspoons and lots of different bars to choose from. Or The Printworks, like someone suggested.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
    erm im not going!
i'll be doing exams around that date.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Mantos is a good plan. There's the big wetherspoons on oxford rd, or even yates on portland street. Deansgate is a good plan though definitely.

Yes, The Paramount. I only ever go when I'm shitfaced, or I get shitfaced whilst there. So the name always escapes me. ;)

I think Sinclairs is pretty poor to be honest.
