Spam, what the frig?

What is with all the random "spam" I think you call it that is being posted on here recently - is there any real point to it - it just tends to be crap or redirections to other sites.

What is the "benefit" to the spammer of going to all the hassle of registering themselves just to post something that will be deleted anyways?

Explanations please, I don't seem to remember it happening much before?

    I don't understand the point either, but some people may see it before it gets deleted as the mods don't always notice it straight away etc... they can't be expected to check everything as soon as it appears, so they rely on people reporting things to them as well.

    And it one of those who see it before its goes takes a look at there site and likes it then it would have been worth it as they might end up telling thier mates etc...

    hmmm okay - wasnt having a go at the mods though - was just wondering why people put the stuff up here in the first place

    Well, I tend to find sometimes people like to post articles on here, to get their voice heard. While this is annoying, it's not as bad as the recent fun we've had...

    I dont think its that difficult to find porn really, so we don't need it on this site - how difficult is it to write bums and willies into google - not that i have ever done that

    I seriously have never viewed porn in my life.

    I have moral objections to the objectivisation of women.

    I feel women should be treated with respect, and whilst it's their choice to be involved in porn - if people don't support it, it'll die out, and with it the business of regarding women as sex objects.

    I haven't noticed any on here, but some other forums I visit, particularly the kind you don't have to register for, spam can be a real problem. Its even worse on some guestbooks because you never have to register for them.

    I still remember my flatmate offering me a loan of his porn, which rather caught me by surprise. He seemed rather put off by the look I gave him. While I don't object to porn per se, I wish some people would keep it to themselves.

    I guess people do it because it's free advertising, aside from the few pence of your internet connection you've spent to come here and post it. I guess if they do it enough, some one is bound to click it sooner or later.

    Pretty shitty job though.
