On a slightly different note has anyone known a woman traded up or down in surnames once she got married?

I know a woman working ins sales who got married and her new surname was sales as well - was amusing!! :)

Well, mine isnt that wierd, but the "variations" that kids can come up with at school were upsetting, annoying, etc... but hey, way past that stage now :)

It's Blackburn by the way, like the city. with the last four letters frequently replaced with bird, berry, sh*t, sperm and the likes...

Ohh, and also, I know a Richard Head, he's my friend Brendon's father.

There was a girl at my primary school with the surname Puddephatt. She had about a million brothers and sisters too; all lumped with it!!

I also saw a trucking company the other day called Munters Haulage.

And in South America this year (i have photos but for some reason they won't show up)

Bimbo trucks, and a food company called Fanny - I have photographic evidence of Fanny Tuna and Fanny Jam being sold in supermarkets!!
