There is an advert with Gavin Henson on TV and some of my girl mates love his body and say things like "Ohhh look at his sexy body", "his well fit" or if they see a bloke in a mag or on the footie pitch I'll sometimes hear "ohh his got a nice arse", "That 6 pack is lovly". That's no different from a bloke saying that a woman has got a nice arse or pair of tits. It's not just woman that are "sexual objects".

And who cares if a 14/15 year old kid wanks over a picture of Abi Titmuss, their teenage boys, it's what they do.

Is there and "introducing reality" book you can go read?
    probably.

blagstas problem as far as i can see from his posts is ...he qoutes endlessly from what he read.
he hasn't yet developed original thought/ideas based on his own observations.
he has brainwashed himself ...maybe you could help him out?

He also chooses what he wants to read and believe. I think his brain has brainwashed him.

imagine newton or einstien or jesus forever quoting other people?

    Jesus did...he quoted God! (allegedly)

Though I get what you're at. Most of what I say comes from experience or just what I think on an issue. If I feel like proving a point, I'll go to a book that backs it up. Blagsta goes to the book first...I think so anyway.

Yeah, but how do you help a man who constantly appeals to authorities in his arguments that there should be no authority?

Someone who believes in personal freedom on all issues but that there is only one true meaning of things?

Not so difficult in person, but on the internet.......

    Still, nice guy I think.

It's just simple brainless entertainment. Nothing wrong with that.

well its all been said but I just think they a bit of fun and entertainment.

As I explained before I have recently bought the last 2 FHM's and in reading them there were a number of letters from female readers so its obviously not soley for men if they have female readers.

I'd also liek to point out as much as FHM and alike have all these scantily clad women in them, no one puts a gun to their head to make them do it do they? Its all willign and fun and the people in the mags want to be there so whats the harm I say.

all this reading of political and social ideas and ideals is doing peoples heads in me thinks.
like i said earlier ...trends ...they come and go.
remember the parents and proffesionals of the early seventies being drawn in by dr spock about childcare?
whole health systems took up his ideas ...thirty years later it was all chucked out and mr spock was also found to have been a child abuser!

i think some of you read to much ...in the belief it gives you a better understanding ...only to find twenty years down the line it's decided it was all bollox.

common sense and the SIMPLE approach often prove to be far more trustworthy.
mountains out of molehills and looking for bogeymen.

OK, if you don't want to think about how the world works, thats up to you. Stay ignorant and stupid.

I find them quite depressing, with so many good things to read they are so popular.

If you read my posts, you'll see that I haven't argued that its just women. However, it has historically been just women and it still affects women more - men don't tend to get raped, sexually assaulted and beaten by women.

The world is a complex place mr. If you're not interested in it, don't drag others down with you.

I also notice how the opinions of women on this thread have been largely ignored.

stop kissing arse blagsta. No one has ignored their opions. We all read the thread and we put our own thoughts up.

Its like I've always said - the difference between mens and womens magazines is this - womens magazines will tell you how to sexually satisfy your man in hope of him sticking around - mens magazines will tell you have to sexually satisfy your woman so she'll tell all of her friends and then they'll shag you too!

    lol!! Funny

I have noticed though, reading both at times. That in the women's mags, all the sex tips and things they like is all foreplay, oral and long sex sessions of love and caressing each other and being romantic.

Yet when you read the mens mags and you read the letters that women themselves write, its all hard bangs, no foreplya, outdoors, sudden, dirty, filthy sex.

    what do ya do?

I do read the Ladies Confessions with a sort of scepticism, I have to admit - they sometimes read like bad porn film plots - I would be intrigued to know how many are actually genuine, or whether I've just led an extremely sheltered life!!

What people say they like in a partner/sex is not normally what they actually end up going for.

What on earth are you on about? I pointed out that the opinions of women on this thread who have been groped etc have been sidelined and you interpret that as "kissing arse". Why the hell would I need to "kiss arse"? I don't really give a shit what you lot think of me.

Here's a bit of news for you - those letters are made up by men.
