Oh, you think I view all women due to a previous relationship?

Sorry mate, you'll have to try harder than that.

    No, just a few seconds.

Where the hell do you get that idea from?

Very few men these days ONLY see women as objects of lust. Some do but they are certainly the minority. To suggest that lads' mags contribute to this in any significant way is truely to live on cloud cuckoo land.

So, having a magazine at the checkout of Sainsburys with women presented on the cover as sexual objects purely to satisfy male sexual desire is a sign of a healthy society is it? You're fucked in the head mate.

You appear to be bitter about something to do with women.

"just laddish culture" - how do you think 90's lad culture came about? By accident? Or a product of social circumstances?

And how did "girl power" culture come about?

I think they both came about because of antagonism towards each other but it is not some malice way of thinking or anyone who conforms to lad culture is some evil cunt. Bit like "chavs", all talk no action.

Well if that offends you so much, ask Sainsburys to move the magazines then....!

"Purely to satisfy male sexual desire"?? Tell you what mate, YOU'RE the one who's serious fucked in the head. You need counselling to sort out these nasty issues you have with the evils in this nasty world which can so easily be attributed to these publications which order brainless men to view women as objects to beat and rape.

Common sense 2, Blagsta nil as usual.

Where did I call anyone an "evil cunt"?

Possibly because you're pretty efficient at it yourself? For example.....

I might have a cataract in one eye but I'm sure I can't see anything where I say anything about a 'healthy society'.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't got a clue what we're arguing about anymore. Can you go back to the last part of the thread that made sense and debate from there.

there have always been drawings of naked women with exagerated bits.
the nineties laddish culture is mostly in your imaginations ...put there of course by the media to make something ancient look like something modern.

people don't half get hung up about none issuse.

i.m glad most of you will never be law makers/rule makers.

I think a definition of what I mean by "objectification" might be in order

    Oh yes I see now.

Yes these magazines may objectify women sexually but my point is that it won't manifest itself into anything nastier so isn't that much of a problem.

What it does do however, is feed into a general cultural view of human beings (especially women, but men too) as objects and not subjects. That ain't healthy IMO.

Supply and demand is all I need to say. That's probably where porn came from - People wanted it. Magasines that sexually objectifies woman will happen if people want it. Just gather enough opposition and you'd probably get it away.

Porn though would probably always exist - which is a shame, as woman are more that a pair of tits and a cunt as Blagsta said.

what concerns me is blagstas view.
if ...his communal way of living were ever to come about ...it is so clear that people like him would be following the latest trends in political thinking.
    trends usualy die.
blag would have to travel a little to find a communal town that wished to live by his ideals.
    or ...manipulate and legislate ...
    freedom out the window.

So, we are saying that men are sexually starved by women?

Or have I missed it again?

We've said that men aren't getting what they really want and so have to go for faux porn for their thrills. Must be missing out on something. At the same time we are saying that women aren't totally thrilled with modern life neither. Hmmmmm.

Why do men mention women's looks, have a feel etc?

    Because, sometimes, it works.

Go out and ask every woman you meet for a fuck and after not too long you'll get one. Simple. Man fancies shag. It's weekend. He's drunk. He likes what he sees. He says so. He gets slapped.

Being dim, he goes and does it again. And again. Eventually he gets laid.

Next time he knows that he just has to approach enough to get sex. And that's all this is about. Our "soceities" rituals for finding a partner are horribly dishonest and broken. A vast male population exists for very good looking women, who, at the very attractive level could pick a different partner every few hours if they really wanted to until time fucked their looks. Few men get this level of choice.

All sexual power resides with women, because they have most of the choice. To then moan about having a few piccies taken etc is just fucking bollocks. Cake and eat it time and not get fat is all that's wanted from the fairer sex and fair play to them, halfwits like Blagsta fall for it.

    DEAREST BLAG AND KERMY ....

my two older sisters read a girls magazine in the sixties called ...'jackie' ...no sex no talk of drugs or alcohol ...no abortion advice etc etc ...this mag ws aimed at teenage girls ...i'd guess from the ages of 12 to 16.

should all teenage girl mags go back to this kind of publication?

...did the benny hill show or the carry on films have a detrimental effect on society?
did it make men grope women in the workplace ...

It's not a cultural view, it's human nature.

Us lads may like to look at big tits and a nice arse, it's just entertaining, same as with lap dancers. It doesn't mean a judge women soley upon whether they these features.

You're reading into it far too much.

You don't think that presenting women as objects feeds into the general patriarchal culture of low pay, shit conditions and abuse against women?
