I've just eaten a whole packet and want more. Are they healthy?

Why are they called digestive anway?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Because they were originally supposed to be an aid to digestion.

But I don't think they're particularly healthy tbh. I'm sure they're fairly high in fat. Look at the packet next time you get some.

Erk, look at that, 3g of fat in one biscuit! Remember why I don't eat them now.

I've eaten a whole packet of biscuits before but I wouldn't recommend it.

I've eaten whole packets of biscuits at once more times than I can count... Practically a common thing for me.
Not digestives though, I hate them. Especially with chocolate.

I've eaten two packets of Choccy ones in a night.

But to be fair, that was gaming fuel.

They'recalled digestives because they were designed to help digestion and the gut. They are actually quite good at that.

But no, they're not healthy. You won't die, but you have taken in about 70% of your daily calorie intake.

    After deciphering that...

Assuming they don't eat a whole packet every day, I doubt it's suddenly going to make them balloon out and put on 5 stone. Sometimes it's good to indulge!

I love the caramel ones... they're like an addiction and I could definitely eat a whole packet if I didn't restrain myself!

True that. It's all about the diggy b's.

If you buy the McVities Chocolate'n'Caramel digestive biscuits they take more effort to chew due to the caramel and therefore you burn lots of calories whilst eating them so it must be good for you!
