    I think Enfilade made a good point, actually, about pornography raising unrealistic expectations. If you have unrealistic expectations then you will be unhappy.

    Porn thrives on selling a fantasy. Realise that it is not reality, and you will immediately become more confident- who you are is worth just as much as how big your schlong is, but porn doesn't show that, because it's not part of the fantasy.

    I think the commodification of sex causes problems, and some of these problems are faced by shy boy here.

    Before you can really overcome shyness you have to feel, at least a bit, that you are a worthy human being. The rest is just about acting confident, and the confidence will come, as you will grow into the persona.

    Yeah, small talk is hard to get the hang of. You just need to be observant. But don't just blurt out random comments... that doesn't always work well...

    Try coming up with something relevant to the situation. I gave an example up there with the juke box and crappy music. Try thinking of random scenarios you'd find yourself in, places and people, and then think of what you could say. I'm always looking around and making comments to myself about what I see so if someone were to ask me what I was thinking I'd have a witty response ready to go.

    Because the whole 'natural' and 'un-natural' idea is poor ground for debate and the reproduction idea never explains homsexuality.

    I'm not flaming... I just think the whole 'natural' and 'un natural' debate is dodgy, especially when it comes to putting a negative label on unnatural things.

    Tattoos are unnatural :p

    Hey, the Greeks and Romans managed a society of homosexuality. I forgot where I read/heard this, paraphrasing: "Greek men have sex with women to procreate. They have sex with little boys for pleasure."

    I never said I was gonna "be am man" just that I would try those tips to make me feel more at ease if the time comes and a girl speaks to me.

    It's quite simple really. In ancient times when men are at war, they're gone for years without a single woman around. So they comfort each other. There's a lot of emotions and passion associated with war. You bond with the guy next to you, not necessarily in a homosexual way, a brotherhood for instance.

    Then, there was a time where girls could not be part of a play in theatre. So young boys played the female roles, including kissing and possible sex scenes.

    Homosexuality has been going on for ages and ages and no one cared before. Until The Church came along and condemned it.

    Serious, maybe those are the ones who prefer receiving (really, nothing wrong with that). Kinda the same reason why some men want a sex change medically to become a woman. I don't know, I'm gonna stop now.
