    Oops... and there was me thinking that at around 28 units per week I was doing alright...

    Still, I refuse to believe that half a bottle of good wine with dinner could be of any harm... ;)

    yep a pint of Stella is 2.95 units so 9 pints is actually 26.55 units. 21 units in pints of Stella is just over 7 pints.

    This is obviously still causing confusion. The limit was never raised to 28 for men, it was modified to a daily limit of 4 units for men, 3 for women with two alcohol-free days per week. 4unitsx7days = 28, but actually should be 21 still because of the alcohol-free days.

    So the advisory limits are:
    Men - no more than 4 units per day, with 2 days with no drink (or ~21 per week)
    Women - no more than 3 units per day, with 2 days with no drink (or ~14 per week)

    Well I will admit i am a binge drinker, and when I say binge drinker I don't mean I drink a few pints, I mean I get really really wasted and ya know what, don't care, life's too short.
