Thank God for the house of Lords and their power and will to veto New Labour's sinister legislation.

    Does that work?

    No I'm just glad that in this instance the House of Lords functioned as it should do, as a safeguard against a government gone a bit power-crazy.

    The legislation puts limits on free-speech and stops criticism of religion.

    no we rely on the lords to enforce the ever so complicated 'constitution' and our basic rights - checks and balances and all
